My man and I were looking for good chow mein for a good price for a minute and since we found this place we can’t help but keep coming back. We’ve been on a budget and have been satisfied sharing just one order of these noodles each time. For $12 we both can eat and the people who’ve served us have all been super sweet even though we only order one thing, even when we came like 10 minutes before closing. The veggie chow mein is stacked, perfect flavor, and is the perfect ratio of noodles and vegetables; it includes bean sprouts, broccoli, mushrooms, snap peas, onions, green onions, carrots, and bok choy. Plus soy sauce packets and fortune cookies. (: Beats any other place we’ve tried for noodles. 12/10 every time!!

Literally my favorite Chinese restaurant ever. We were regulars heres but came for dinner tonight only to see a closed sign on the door! Truly hoping this is not forever and they will reopen because I’m honestly heartbroken. The nicest staff and the tastiest Chinese food at a reasonable price. Come back New Flavors!!!

**FINAL Visit* - April 30, 2025 - THANK YOU New Flavors for many, many years of delicious Chinese Food and excellent friendly service. Your restaurant has been a part of our family's and many other families' lives for decades. Making wonderful & fond memories for all. Many Best Wishes. (See "Final" Picture at the very end - Picture #20) (Know that this is "Just" a wishful thought -- "Should" and "If" you do find another place to re-establish, Please, Please let us ALL know) It was GREAT to see many families & patrons come to give their final "Thank You's" and support. The restaurant was packed with customers and with a waiting line, until closing time. There were a lot of customers who came in to pick up their orders and were "shocked to learn" that Wednesday was the restaurant's last day. It was told to them that the property has already been sold and the developer wants to build apartments/condominiums. ************************** **ALERT - Your Final Days to Give Support & Say Thank You**** Came by April 26, 2025. Giving support and enjoying our meals before they close this Wed, April 30, 2025. Be prepared because many of their loyal customers are coming by with their friends & family to enjoy their last meals and saying their "Good-Byes & Thank You's." Was told that a News crew came by to do an interview about the New Flavors closure. Found it, CBS 4/25/25 News reporting of News Flavors Closing. Interview with both Lynn and loyal customers. Place will be torn down to be re-developed into condos & apartments. (This interview is a keepsake) We will be coming back again before their last day closure - This Wed, April 30, 2025

Thank you New Flavors. We all going to miss you all and your yummy food. If you do re-open somewhere, please let us know. Found out that they will be building an eight-story, low housing 73 unit studio- apartment building with no on-site parking on your now former location. Thank you again New Flavors. We love your restaurant! ************ Love coming here getting yummy Chinese food. Very sorry and very sad to hear that they we will be closing this Wednesday, April 30th. The landlord is replacing the property with apartments. Enjoy having your yummy meals before New Flavors closes. Going to be by one more time before closure.

This place is awesome, I've been here 5-6 times and it's been fantastic every single time. A classic old school, affordable Chinese place with a million options all between 9-16 dollars. The dinner specials give you a crazy amount of appetizers and food; I always end up with two full meals and I have a big appetite. It can be a bit chilly so bring a jacket in the winter if you tend to get cold (they leave the front door open for air circulation). It seems like a lot of their business is takeout (which I've done and it's good!), but I recommend coming in and sitting down, you only get the soup with the lunch/dinner special if you dine in. Photo is the honey walnut prawns for me and the lunch special sweet and sour chicken for my girlfriend. Delicious as always!

I've been looking for a cheap-eat Chinese restaurant in West LA. And I'm glad to say that this is it. My friends and I went for the lunch special. The whole fried fish (dou ban yu) in the photo was so worth it. Only $9.15 for the entire fish! I'd say that's a pretty good deal. We also preferred sweet and sour pork which was part of the lunch special too. And we also preferred honey walnut shrimp (not on lunch special). For the lunch special, they also give you an egg roll, rice, and soup on the side too. In the end, my friends and I (three of us total) only spent $14 each. Looking forward to coming back again!

The servers were super efficient and professional. How did two people handle the whole front house? Wow we were impressed. Delicious too. Five stars.
